    Embroidery Mend on Cashmere Sweater

I scored this J. Crew cashmere sweater at a Goodwill Outlet (where the unsold Goodwill items go to die). It has a light stain on the bottom, so I decided to embroider a flower over it. I got this sample pack of water-soluble embroidery patterns from Elizabeth Galbraith (of MCreativeJ) at Quilt Market. She’s so…

My name is Marie and I like making things when I'm not busy momming and working as bean counter at a quilt shop. My background is accounting, so I love spreadsheets and any software that allows me to make things just so, like Adobe Illustrator. I'm currently trying to work my way through all the quilt techniques (hand applique, curved piecing, collage, etc.). I love the precision and control of making things by hand, but I also have 3 sewing machines (older Vikings), a serger, and a longarm. I also love thrifting and mending, with my oldest daughter.
