Embroidery Mend on Cashmere Sweater

I scored this J. Crew cashmere sweater at a Goodwill Outlet (where the unsold Goodwill items go to die). It has a light stain on the bottom, so I decided to embroider a flower over it.

I got this sample pack of water-soluble embroidery patterns from Elizabeth Galbraith (of MCreativeJ) at Quilt Market. She’s so nice! We already stock some of her embroidery books and I’m wanting to stop some her embroidery kits soon.

I applied the sticky patch onto the sweater and stitched with DMC embroidery thread.

Rinsed it in water, it dissolved really easily.

And ta da! No more stain!
